Sand and Sea Saddlery

Alis Carbone

Certified Fitter for Custom Saddlery

My name is Alis Carbone and I am the proud owner of Sand and Sea Saddlery, a San Diego based representative for Custom Saddlery. I proudly serve San Diego and surrounding counties, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Originally from Washington State, my passion for horses and dressage lead me down to San Diego. I have to be honest though and, say that the weather didn't hurt either.

I first began riding when 7 years old. I was definitely that horse crazy kid that had parents that were awesome enough to put me in riding lessons. I began riding in the hunter/jumper divisions and after a brief stint in eventing, I  found my love for dressage when I was 15. I have come up through the levels from training through FEI, competed at NAJYRC on a self-trained horse, and continue to ride, train, and compete still today.

When the opportunity to work for Custom Saddlery came up, it was just to amazing of an offer to turn down. I am so lucky to be able to work for such an innovative and top of the line saddle company.  I am extremely excited to be part of the team and to work on and endorse such an amazing brand with an incredible group of dedicated riders and clients. Being a fitter for Custom allows me to combine my passion of dressage with work. I am able to utilize my skills as a rider, to truly understand what is needed from a saddle for both you and your horse. I also recognize and appreciate that every horse and rider combination is different and listen to both you and your horse to find the best possible fit.

I truly want what is best for you and your horse. I want each and every one of my clients to succeed in whatever their goals may be and it is my honor that you choose me to be a part of that. My goal is always first and for most to provide great service in order to have a happy client and a happy horse. I really cannot wait to get to know you both and assist you with your saddle fitting needs.

Happy Riding!
